Art School Crie
Art School Crie is an art school located just a short walk from Azabudai and Azabu-Juban stations.
Crie's vision is to " nurture independent and creative individuals, " and this art class was started with the desire to cherish and nurture children's love of drawing and making things.
In our classroom, we value the "process"—what you see, how you feel, and how you express it—more than the skill level of the finished product.
Drawing pictures, thinking, putting things into words—
All of that is an important learning experience for children.
In "Artistic Thinking (Interactive Appreciation)," which incorporates VTS (Visual Thinking Strategies), students naturally develop the ability to carefully observe artwork, express their feelings in their own words, and listen to the opinions of others, respecting diverse perspectives.
Furthermore, in activities that incorporate elements of STEAM education, we combine art and scientific inquiry, fostering the ability to think, experiment, and create independently, starting from a curiosity of "why?" and "how?".
What will be needed in the coming era is not the ability to quickly find the right answer, but rather the ability to ask questions, explore, and express oneself. This ability can certainly be nurtured through drawing.

Children's Art and Craft Class
Classes held 4 times a month / Regular Course
The class meets four times a month, with one month equaling one cycle (four sessions in total), and the theme changes every week. Over the course of four sessions, students will thoroughly explore Crie's inquiry-based curriculum, which involves observing, thinking, experimenting, and giving shape to their own expressions. Because the theme is different each time, children will not get bored and will develop a wide range of expressive abilities and a spirit of inquiry.
Week 1 | VTS + Painting (Copying)
Through "VTS," where students interact with pictures, they develop their observational skills, and then refine their expressive abilities through copying.Week 2 | STEAM (1)
Experience surprise and discovery through art experiments that incorporate elements of science and mathematics.Week 3 | STEAM (2)
We encourage students to take on more advanced activities and develop their ability to turn ideas into reality.Week 4 | Free Project: Create something on your favorite theme. Enjoy the fun of expressing yourself freely while applying what you've learned over the past month.
Classes held twice a month / Regular Lite Course
The twice-monthly class incorporates the essence of the four-monthly class, offering a convenient two-session format. The second half (weeks 3 and 4) includes development and arrangement of the original work.
First half (weeks 1 & 2): VTS + painting (copying)
Second half (3rd and 4th week): STEAM (craft)
*Open Day members can freely use the classrooms from 9:30 to 12:30 on the fourth Saturday of each month.
